List Of Fun Things To Do In Fort Lauderdale Florida

Here are 9 attractions and sights to check out while you’re there:

1. Las Olas Food Tour

With diverse restaurants, museums, international art galleries, and 65 retail options, the Las Olas Boulevard is the perfect place to take a stroll. Soak in the Floridian atmosphere and the aesthetic of the boulevard, take a chance on the shops and the alfresco dining options, or go on a Las Olas Food Tour.

2. Bonnet House Museum and Gardens

For those with more historic inclinations, there’s the Bonnet House Museum and Gardens. The house was created in 1920 by Frederic Clay Bartlett, a Chicago-born artist, on land gifted to him and his second wife Helen Louise Birch. In 1925, Helen died from breast cancer, and six years later Bartlett married Evelyn Fortune Lilly, who spent the winters in the house until 1995. Now it’s a house museum dedicated to historic environmental preservation. There is something for everyone here: art lovers, horticulture enthusiasts, animal lovers, and history buffs alike.

3. The Beaches

Fort Lauderdale boasts 23 miles of beautiful, sun-kissed beaches - many of which have been certified as Blue Wave Beaches by the Clean Beaches Council of Washington DC. Pompano Beach, named after a saltwater fish, has some of the warmest and clearest waters in South Florida and offers a variety of beach sports. Check out Lauderdale-By-The-Sea for a natural coral reef system and snorkeling, or visit Dania Beach Ocean Park for a meal and gorgeous ocean views on a beautiful fishing pier.

4. Segway Tour

Try something new and take a 45 minute Segway tour around Fort Lauderdale, maneuvering down the Riverwalk by the yachts and shipyards. There are several options to choose: longer tours, a night tour, and even a nature tour.

5. Jungle Queen Riverboat

If Segways aren’t quite your speed, you can take a cruise on the famous Jungle Queen riverboat. On the river since 1935, the Jungle Queen is a “must-do” in Fort Lauderdale. Choose between a sightseeing cruise in the morning, afternoon, or evening, the Dinner Show and Sightseeing Cruise, and the Afternoon Sightseeing Cruise and Tropical Isle Tour.

6. Tour the Everglades

And, of course, what is a trip to Florida without seeing the Everglades? Everglades Airboat Tours and Alligator Park offers an expert-narrated airboat tour around the Everglades to see some of Florida’s most interesting wildlife. At the end of the tour, settle in for a gator show filled with stunts and alligator facts put on by the Gator Boys Alligator Rescue.

It’s definitely worth a stop while you’re in town.

9. Tacos at Tacocraft Taqueria & Tequila Bar
